This 8-week intermediate course is suited for people who have completed the Beginner Course and Semi-cursive (Gyosho) 101 course. We will learn many different styles of semi-cursive script and tricks through five different calligraphy masters art. At the end of the course, you will be ask to create your own art with those skills you learn throughout the course.

Here is the potential schedule of the course:

Week 1: Ogishi 王羲之: 360-degree Brush
Week 2: Ganshinkei 顔真卿: Composition & Depth in Lines
Week 3: Kouteiken 黄庭堅: Balance - Long Horizontal Line, Left & Right Tail
Week 4: Otaku 王鐸: Emotion – Connecting Lines & Rhythm
Week 5 : Soshoku 蘇軾: Improvisation – Tilted Square & Vertical Lines
Week 6: Sumi-Nagashi (墨流し) Marbling & Reisho (Clerical style) Experience
Week 7: Review
Week 8: Final Art
